Privacy and Data

Privacy Policy

Effective August 4th, 2025

Thank you for visiting Charge Rigs LLC (“Charge Rigs,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). We value your trust and want you to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information—especially when you interact with our dealer network or sign up to receive text messages from our support team.

1) Scope

This policy covers personal information collected through the website https://chargerigs.com, any online forms we host, and our support text-messaging service (delivered through a dedicated SMS line that will be updated before launch). It applies to customers, prospective customers, visitors, vendors, authorized dealers and their personnel, and anyone else who interacts with Charge Rigs. The policy complies with the EU and UK GDPR as well as major U.S. privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

2) Information We Collect

We collect:

  • Identifiers such as name, postal address, email, and phone number.
  • Commercial and transaction data, such as purchases, service history, and payment information.
  • Device and usage data, including IP address, browser type, cookies, and log files.
  • Message content you send by email, text, webchat, or social media.
  • Business contact details of dealer or vendor personnel (job title, work email, company name).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive data (government IDs, precise geolocation, health data) unless you knowingly provide it for a specific purpose.

3) How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  1. Provide customer service, product delivery, installation, and warranty support.
  2. Operate our SMS and email programs with your consent.
  3. Improve our website, offerings, and dealer programs.
  4. Detect fraud, ensure security, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for their own advertising. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4) SMS Program

By submitting your mobile number or texting us first, you expressly consent to receive recurring text messages from Charge Rigs.

  • Message frequency varies; recurring messages may occur.
  • Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for assistance.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply.
  • You must be at least 16 years old (or older if required by local law).

Opting out of SMS will not stop us from sending legally required notices (receipts, safety recalls, or warranty updates).

5) Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

We rely on:

  • Consent (marketing texts and emails).
  • Contractual necessity (fulfilling orders, warranties).
  • Legitimate interests (product improvement, fraud prevention).
  • Legal obligations (tax, accounting, and compliance).

You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting past processing.

6) Disclosure of Information

We disclose information only to:

  • Service providers who process data on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • Government authorities, when required by law or to protect rights.
  • Business successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
  • Authorized dealers and distributors as described in Section 8 below.

7) Cookies & Tracking

Cookies help us keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure site traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not work correctly without them.

8) Dealers & Partners

Charge Rigs sells and services its equipment through an independent network of authorized dealers and resellers. These dealers are separate legal entities that may collect information directly from you and operate under their own privacy statements.

When we share data with dealers
We may share limited personal information with a dealer to:

  • finalize a purchase, arrange delivery, or register a warranty;
  • schedule installation, on-site maintenance, or training;
  • send service reminders, technical bulletins, or product updates;
    * — with your explicit consent — send joint marketing offers for Charge Rigs products and services.

Dealer responsibilities
Dealers receiving your data are contractually required to:

  • Keep the information confidential;
  • Use it only for the purposes listed above;
  • Secure it with industry-standard safeguards.

Your choices and controls

  • You may instruct us not to share your data with a dealer for marketing purposes.
  • If you give information directly to a dealer, their privacy practices will apply. We encourage you to review the dealer’s privacy statement.

Data you share in dealer portals
If you upload equipment logs, diagnostic files, or site-specific photos to a dealer-managed portal, you control which parties can access that content. We cannot govern a dealer’s independent use of data you share outside our instructions.

9) International Transfers

If you reside outside the United States, your information may be processed here. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved safeguards to protect cross-border transfers.

10) Data Retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes of this policy or to satisfy legal requirements. Opt-out and suppression lists are retained to ensure we honor your choices.

11) Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of personal information.

12) Your Privacy Rights

Certain U S state laws—such as those in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Virginia— and countries give residents specific rights over their Personal Data. The availability of each right depends on your state of residence and the way we process your information.

You may have the right to:

  • Access the Personal Data we hold about you
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete Personal Data we no longer need
  • Receive details about how and why we process your information
  • Restrict or object to certain processing activities
  • Port (transfer) your data to another company
  • Avoid decisions made solely by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects

You can exercise any applicable right at any time by completing our United States Data-Subject Request Form or by contacting us using the details in Section 15 – “Contact Us.”

Data-Subject Request Form >

If we rely on your consent to process Personal Data, you may withdraw that consent whenever you wish. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal, and we may continue processing your data on other lawful grounds.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your state privacy regulator. We encourage you to reach out to us first so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

Identity verification and fees
To protect everyone’s security, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Where allowed by law, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee if a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Our response time
Subject to legal and other permissible considerations, we will make every reasonable effort to honor valid requests promptly or let you know if we need more information. In some cases—such as when disclosure would infringe on another person’s rights, or when we are legally entitled to address the request differently—we may be unable to fulfill the request in full.

Effect on our services
Please note that exercising certain rights—for example, deletion, restriction, or objection—may prevent us from achieving the purposes listed in Section 3 – “How We Use Your Information.”

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing message or by contacting us through the methods listed in Section 15 – “Contact Us.” Transactional or account-related communications (for example, receipts or critical service notices) will continue even if you opt out of marketing messages.

13) Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

14) Changes

We may update this policy periodically. A new effective date will appear at the top, and continued use of our services signifies acceptance.
